Day 3: Stars aligned

I would not write a poem

based on the hope and wishes

made upon stars. The pin-points
far into the night canvas hide a greater
beauty than I could desire.

And their distance only shares

what was. Such biddings

to Regulus of Alpha Leonis are to be kept
as silent requests in the heart.

Little kings of the sky shine brightly enough on

their own and

need no embellishment from poetry.

So far,
this has not failed me.

A prompt from NaPoWriMo.Net yesterday, to write about about stars/constellations.
