Day 23/catchup: balm

If I spent my last moments
on this planet
indespant and shrense,
would you finally open up
and breathe me some barthey verses.

Panoramic
juncted words –
brandished in copper,
metable to your heart
and knotted into mine.

Sometimes in the silence
beneath an oak tree,
words are salvings
to soothe
the indespant and the shrentic.

Day 23/catchup: balm

Day 26: loose connections

At the reception, I was soaking up the surroundings – sounds, facial expressions,
body language – all of it swirled inside my head
as I walked around the room.
When I empty it onto paper, all of this may
or may not come out intertwined with other words
to make an event that never happened
happen.

I spend the afternoon vacuuming the area rugs –
the ones that are burgundy with geometric framing
that direct me around and around the perimeter.
After I’m done, I empty the canister of its contents –
All the dust particles are grey
except for the black pet hair from the hallway runner
where my dog sleeps.

Day 26: loose connections

Day 22: Ever

It is another day where life
Has been most factual,
And I have some difficulty leaving
My song here- in some truth – actual.
But I read an essay on pine trees
That quantified the degrees
Of desire
one can have for an idea
A word
a verdant memory
this chlorophyll green, – bursting from
feelings that shade the glare
and weather the gray
tips of needles-
sparks erupting from the receding storm
that I longed for.

Day 22: Ever

Day 18 : Metathesis (A Found Poem)

Raw material
Unneeded and defective
On snows of paper,
Coloring the outlook
It must be a bitch
Or at least alien logic
To walk
Or wear
On the timing
Don’t rush or force the ending
Science waits
Wins out over time
Increasing the demand for
Beautiful poems.
